The Pacific Region Axe Throwing Championships will be held for the first time in Queensland at MANIAX Newstead, from 31 October – 2 November 2025.

Friday 31 October
Big Axe
Kicking off the weekend in a big way, we’re starting with the Pacific Regional Big Axe Tournament featuring seeding games followed by a single elimination bracket. The winner will earn a spot in the highly coveted Big Axe Tournament at IATC.

Spooky Doubles
It’s Halloween, and that means it’s time for Spooky Doubles! The best dressed team will win a prize, and the tournament winners will be crowned Pacific Region Doubles Champions, earning a reserved spot in the IATC Doubles Tournament for 2026.

Queensland Major
MANIAX proudly hosts its first major tournament in the Great Northern State! Compete for an exciting prize pool and trophies. The 1st place winner also secures entry to the 2026 APATC.

Sunday 2 November
Pacific Region Axe Throwing Championship
It’s time for the Pacific Regional Axe Throwing Championships! This year features a brand-new perpetual trophy (to be revealed soon), and the top two competitors will earn a spot at IATC 2026. The tournament will use pool play followed by double elimination, with a limited bracket featuring the top players from each pool. Queen of the North
Australia’s first Women’s, Non-Binary, and Gender Diverse Big Axe tournament! Who will be crowned the Queen of the North? The winner receives a crown, sceptre, and entry to all events at the 2026 Great Western.
